It all started with a song.
Roxana Nights was late to another gig, thanks to her first love, and drummer. It’s been years since she left Jordan, but he won’t let her go. Then she hears a voice that pulls her under a spell and changes her whole world.
Trevor Malone just moved to Seattle with his band. Music is his only passion, until he lays eyes on Roxana. He’s never felt anything as strong as the pull to her. Now he needs to find a way to introduce her to his world.
There’s only one problem. A rival clan won’t rest until they’ve taken Trevor’s down. Unwilling to let old grudges die, they target Roxy. Trevor will do anything to keep her safe.
Roxy learns that the world she writes is closer to reality than she ever imagined, and that not all monsters are evil, though some are ruthless.
Will love stay strong when the past comes out? Can they survive the centuries old vendetta?

I didn’t realize that this was a shifter book when I started it – they’re not usually my cup of tea, but boy am I glad I read this one! It was fantastically written and I loved the story. The author has the perfect combination of the “real” and “other” worlds. Roxy and Trevor are drawn to each other from the very beginning and their attraction is immediate. Trevor is worried about bringing Roxy into “his” world but they later discover that she belongs there - more then he knows.
The characters in this book were fantastic! I really love Sorcha and hope to see more of her in future books. Her attitude and personality are just perfect.
Highly recommend this book – if you’re not in to shifter books… I still recommend this book. It will change your mind! Can’t wait to begin book 2.

Nothing is as it seems…
Everything Isadora Starling wants is right there in front of her, but Toryn is off limits. He’s her best friend. She’s been denying her heart all these years, afraid to lose him.
Toryn Flame has a long past full of secrets. None of which he can share with Isadora, the only person who truly matters to him. She’s the one woman who has never shown a hint of lust toward him, but even if she did, pursuing her is forbidden.
That all changes when the family Isa doesn’t know decides it’s time to reveal who and what she is. After Isa’s recent attack, their motives are unclear.
His only goal is protecting Isa. Toryn will do everything in his power to keep her safe, including going against orders from his king.
Toryn’s only fear is losing Isa’s trust. Once the truth is revealed, can she forgive him for years of misdirection and omissions? Can she come to terms with a world she doesn’t want or know?

Isadora has been in love with her bestfriend Toryn for years. She believes he's gay though and hasn't ever persued a relationship. She's not aware of it but Toryn has actually been sent to protect princess Isadora. Toryns job was to not only keep her safe but to also keep her in the dark about who she really.
The chemistry between Toryn and Isa is intense from the very beginning. Love the characters. I have to say I enjoyed book 1 much more then book 2 purely because I'm not the biggest paranormal fan. However, this book was fabulously written and if you are a paranormal fan I definitely recommend it!
