We start off with a lie on Valentine’s Day.
My blind date isn’t the studious guy I expected: he’s a drop-dead gorgeous player with sinful amber eyes. Somehow we end up at his penthouse. I blame the gin and tonic.
The next day I learn he’s Jack Hawke—bad-boy professional quarterback with a murky past. The NDA he has me sign should be a warning that he isn’t a regular person. Please. I sign it Juliet Capulet, so goodbye, famous football player with abs of steel, and good luck tracking down this small-town librarian.
But Jack keeps showing up in places I least expect him. Just when I’m sure he’s gone, he waltzes into my community theater and wins the part of Romeo to my Juliet. How’s a plain, mostly innocent girl like me supposed to resist a man like him?
Is Jack my real Romeo…or will this gorgeous football player only break my heart?

RATING: 5 STARS
From the moment I opened this book and read the first line, I was hooked.. The author just has this way of making you feel exactly what they are feeling and describing a town with characters you can find in any small town. Sure it might be hard to have the star quarterback visit, perform in plays and visit schools but it could happen. I loved Jack and Elena from the very first awkward date between them. Elena just has a light around her and she says whatever. People just naturally follow her wherever she goes. I loved how despite the crazy that is happening in her family, she still manages to a)keep a secret and b) her sanity in the town. Meeting Jack, makes her realize a few things and opens her heart to love. We get to know Jack on a different level as well. He opens up to Elena and helps him heal from the past. He has a bad rep and it's not helping that his ex wrote a horrible book about him, making him sound even worse then he is. He deals with a lot in this book. I absolutely loved him despite all that! Him and Elena work so well together and had to overcome the past to make it work. I loved this book and the characters in it!!
