***He scans my face, waiting for some sign from me that it’s okay. That the desire to kiss me so clearly telegraphed in his eyes is okay. I can’t find words to articulate that in this maelstrom of grief and desire and confusion, the only thing clear, the only thing that makes any sense right now, is for him to kiss me. So I don’t say a word. I just lean forward until our lips meet.

This was not what I expected from a Christmas Novella!  It was so much more than a Christmas story. It had depth and charm, pain and love, all the great things that makes a story good all packed into a short novella.  

Avery and Deck’s story if more than a fluffy, beautiful Christmas story.  The characters are flawed and beautiful and have demons of their past to overcome.  

It’s short, sweet, sexy and makes me want more from these two.  Would have liked to have more “Christmas” in the story though, lol.  It takes place at Christmastime but we didn’t really get a whole lot of “Christmas Magic” and I really wish we did. I LOVE Christmas romance and the sweetness and magic of it all!  I know Christmas time was hard on Avery, for reasons, that’s all the more reason she needed some Christmas Magic!
