With one uncharacteristically sassy tweet to her longtime celebrity crush, Zoe Millerā€™s life turns upside down. Ultrahot A-lister Chase Covington doesnā€™t just respond to Zoeā€™s tweet, he does the unthinkable: he messages Zoe directly. Now she must decide between walking away or meeting her crush in person.
Chase knows better than to trust anyone from the Internet, but Zoeā€™s saucy challenge has totally caught his interestā€”and her girl-next-door personality is keeping it. Heā€™s been burned enough to know he needs to keep his heart close. But his feelings for Zoe might be a lot more than just an online flirtation. He just has to convince herā€¦
When the press gets wind of Zoe and Chaseā€™s secret relationship, their romance turns into tabloid headlines. Will they be able to hold on to their Hollywood love story?

ā€œYou must be Zoe Miller. Iā€™m Chase. Covington.ā€ He added on his last name like I wouldnā€™t know who he was. It was kind of endearing. I stared at his hand until the girl on my right nudged me and I gave him mine. A zap of raw electricity sparked at his touch, his hand warm and strong and big. It shot up my arm and spread all throughout my body making every part of me tingle. ā€œHi Chase Covington.ā€ I donā€™t know how I was able to form words. Or how I hadnā€™t dissolved into an incoherent, blubbering pile of Zoe goo. ā€œHi Zoe Miller.ā€ We were still shaking hands, which was basically holding hands at this point as it had gone on for so long. He was just grinning at me, like I was some long-lost friend he was excited to catch up with. I didnā€™t want to imagine what my slack-jawed, overwhelmed face looked like. He would probably think I was an idiot. A guy with dark brown hair and wearing a Bluetooth device in one ear came over. ā€œChase, Marty wants a word.ā€ Chase finally let go of my hand. ā€œThanks, One-F. Stick around Zoe Miller. Thereā€™s more to say.ā€ He walked backwards a few steps, like he didnā€™t want to stop looking at me. With a wink he finally turned and headed over to the director.

This was a great book to start the new year. I could not put it down once I started. I found the characters well developed and it was one of those books that keeps making you smile. I like the play of Zoe's tweet getting Chase's attention. It's a modern twist on Cinderella. There are some strong relationships outside the chemistry between Zoe and Chase- including her best friend Lexie and her siblings (all with z names :). The development of their relationship really made this book for me. They don't jump right into being a couple and they deal with issues on how different their lives are and how do you merge them (including the paparazzi). I loved this book and highly recommend.

Bestselling author Sariah Wilson has never jumped out of an airplane, never climbed Mt. Everest, and is not a former CIA operative. She has, however, been madly, passionately in love with her soulmate and is a fervent believer in happily ever afters--which is why she writes romance. She has published many happily ever after stories. She grew up in southern California, graduated from Brigham Young University (go Cougars!) with a semi-useless degree in history, and is the oldest of nine (yes, nine) children. She currently lives with the aforementioned soulmate and their four children in Utah, along with three tiger barb fish, a cat named Tiger, and a recently departed hamster that is buried in the backyard (and has nothing at all to do with tigers).

Death of the Spirit (Crossing Death #2) by Rick Chiantaretto Blog Tour

Death of the Spirit *Crossing Death #2* Genre~Dark Fantasy/Occult I have no idea who I am anymore. In Los Angeles, I would have given anything to go home to Orenda, my world where magic was alive and nature spoke to me. Now that I'm back I feel out of place, burdened with responsibility. As the darkness inside me grows, Iā€™ll learn to sacrifice for the greater good, as my people have always done. In order to save my family (both mage and human alike), I must face my nightmare, embrace the demon, and descend into the shadowy world of my enemyā€”the Hell of the Damned. Once there, I will have nothing left to fear but myself: Edmund Gavel, human, mage, demon... maybe monster.
