UNITED INDIE BOOK BLOG REVIEW
REVIEWER: AMY
RATING: 5 STARS
This was my first book from this series and I know it sounds weird reading book 6 first but that's what i did. After reading this I will be going back and reading 1-5. This is a standalone. I had no problems following and understanding who everyone is. This book was action packed from beginning to end. I felt for Emma. All she wants is to prove herself and make money to have a good life. While working at the hotel, a temptation is placed in front of her and she takes it. It has deadly consequences though. i loved Emma's character. She held close to her past and what happened to her mom and kept going forward. It was hard at times but she did it. She also trusted someone she shouldn't have but that's what made this book so action packed. Gainer is part of the security team. He has a sordid past which comes back to haunt him. Him and Emma meet and things start falling into place. Sure her conscience is eating her alive and the fact that her friends are gone, she still trusts him with her life. These two have serious chemistry. Sure Emma keeps her secret but as soon as things bad, she opens up what she did and so does Gainer. It does have some very sweet moments, mostly between Gainer and Emma. There was a lot about Emma that I could relate to, she wears her heart on her sleeve and because of that she's very trusting..which gets her in trouble.. hence me. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to read more from this series!

Some would call me a little naughty but I see myself as a writer of spicy thoughts. Being an erotic romance writer is something that I never imagined I would be doing. There is nothing more rewarding than to put your thoughts down and sharing them. I began writing three years ago and have enjoyed every minute of it. When I first began writing, I really wasn’t sure what I was going to write. It didn’t take me long to realize that romance would be my niche. I believe that every life deserves a little bit of romance, a little spice doesn’t hurt either. When I am not writing, I enjoy the company of good friends and relaxing with a delicious glass of red wine.

Death of the Spirit (Crossing Death #2) by Rick Chiantaretto Blog Tour

Death of the Spirit *Crossing Death #2* Genre~Dark Fantasy/Occult I have no idea who I am anymore. In Los Angeles, I would have given anything to go home to Orenda, my world where magic was alive and nature spoke to me. Now that I'm back I feel out of place, burdened with responsibility. The human part of me misses the simplicity of Earth, the mage part begs for connection with magic, and the demon part? I don't want to admit that exists. As the darkness inside me grows, I’ll learn to sacrifice for the greater good, as my people have always done. In order to save my family (both mage and human alike), I must face my nightmare, embrace the demon, and descend into the shadowy world of my enemy—the Hell of the Damned. Once there, I will have nothing left to fear but myself: Edmund Gavel, human, mage, demon... maybe monster.
