From New York Times bestselling author, Penelope Ward, comes a sexy, STANDALONE second-chance romance.
They called him Mack Daddy. No, seriously, his name was Mack. Short for Mackenzie. Thus, the nickname. Perfect, right?
So was he: perfect. The perfect physical male specimen.
At the private school where I taught, Mack Morrison was the only man around in a sea of women.
Everyone wanted a piece of the hot single father of the sweet little boy.
I was riddled with jealousy, because they didn’t know that—to me—he was much more.
They didn’t know about our past.
He’d chosen my school for his son on purpose, because Mack and I, we had unfinished business.
As my friend Lorelai so eloquently put it: “Unfinished business between two people who are clearly attracted to each other is like an eternal case of blue balls.” And I was suffering in pain from my case.
I was still intensely attracted to Mack. I tried to resist him, immersing myself further into a relationship with another man just to protect my heart.
Not to mention, getting involved with a parent was strictly against school rules. But seeing Mack day in and day out was breaking me down.
And soon I might be breaking all the rules.
Author's note – Told in alternating points of view, Mack Daddy is a full-length standalone novel.

Penelope Ward knocked it out of the park again with another fabulously written novel. This one is a second chance romance and has a sexy, swoon worthy single father.
Mack is the talk of all the women at Francesca's school. He's smart, sexy, and they nicknamed him Mack Daddy. They all drool over him when he visits the school with his son, Jonah, but he only had eyes for one woman. And that's the sassy red headed teacher.
When Mack moves back to Boston, he does what he has to in order to get his son in Francesca's class. She is shocked to hear that familiar voice whisper "Frankie" on the first day of school. The way he left all those years ago, she didn't think she would ever see him again. But, having his son in her class isn't the only thing Mack wants.
---After a long pause, she said, “Mack?”
“Yeah?”
“He’ll be okay. We’ll take care of him. Even when he’s having a bad day, we’ll do our best to make him feel safe.”
“Thank you, Frankie. I knew you would. That’s why I’m here.”
For him.
And for me.
For you.
I’m here for you. I want you in my life again.
Even if all you’ll give me is your friendship.
F*** that. That will never be enough for me.
Not with you.
There was so much I wanted to tell her but couldn’t.
---“Your heart is beating so fast right now, Mack.”
“Just believe what it’s telling you. Alright?”
There's just so much for Frankie to get over. From the way he left out of her life that night to him coming back into her life unexpectedly and bringing a little chaos and a little drama with him, that she doesn't know if she can trust him with her heart again. One thing she also knows, she can't trust her body when she is around him. It wants him, craves him, just like when they were in college. When your heart wars with your body, it doesn't make things easy, and Mack is determined to get her heart back - which definitely doesn't make it easier on her.
Swoon! Seriously, if you're a Penelope fan, you don't want to miss this one! Packed with lots of swoon worthy moments, sexual tension, and drama, it's the perfect read all wrapped up in a nice little sexy package! Mack's last name is Morrison - which, is also my last name (my maiden name which is hyphenated with my hubs last name), so I like to pretend she wrote Mack just for me!
Ok ok, so I know she didn't, but a girl can dream right. He really is that sweet and swoon worthy to wish he was all yours and yours alone.
