This book was amazing. When I started to read it I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about a husband who was cheating but I was pulled into Mari and Santos world and I didn't want to leave. Before I knew it I was over halfway through the book and couldn't stop reading. I love the dual POV. It adds so much to get both characters thoughts. ME Carter has written a story that feels so real. There are so many issues you wonder if its ever possible for the couple to work through them and reunite. The pacing and story are amazing. This will make you go through so many different emotions for both people. I can't recommend this more highly. It's one of the best books I have read in the past year.

I love reading M. E. Carter's books. This book is not your typical romance. It's raw, real, and brutal. This book is about marriage, the good, bad and the ugly. M. E. Carter done well with this book. Your emotions will be all over thought out the story. Myself, I cried so many times and got mad during this book. Mari and Santos are college sweethearts. I couldn't put down the book until I was finished. I could totally relate with both Mari and Santos. This book will give you hope that people will continue to work things out, hope that true love can, and eventually, overcome. Keep up the awesome work! I cant wait to read your next book. I highly recommend this book.

“Mother, reader, storyteller - ME Carter never set out to write books. But when a friend practically forced a copy of Twilight into her hands, the love of the written word she had lost as a child was rekindled. With a story always rolling around in her head, it should come as no surprise that she finally started putting them on paper. She lives in Texas with her four children, Mary, Elizabeth, Carter and Bug, who sadly was born long after her pen name was created, and will probably need extensive therapy because of it.”
