Title: Taking Tiffany (Breaking And Taking, #2)
Author: M.K. Harkins
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: November 7, 2015
Synopsis
Young socialite, Tiffany Thompson, seems to have it all, everything but love, that is. Guarded since her high school boyfriendās betrayal, she wouldnāt recognize real love if it hit her over the head. Unless itās a can of paint, and successful financier Todd Jameson is behind it.
Todd fell hard and fast for Tiffany a year earlier, but, unwilling to risk his own heart after a college sweetheart shattered it, he avoids Tiffany and vows to keep his distance. Fate has other plans, however, and changes both their minds.
But not everyone is happy with their budding romance. Unbeknownst to either of them, a vengeful enemy stands in the shadows with plans to take Tiffany, and Todd is in the way.
Halfway around the world, Angela Bartholomew, a former foe in Tiffanyās circle, is serving a year-long sentence as a volunteer in a Romanian orphanage in payment for her lying, manipulative ways. That or be disinherited by her parents. The spoiled debutante is determined to get home at all cost, but Fate has plans for her, too, and Angela is not prepared for how her life will change.
Will love conquer heartbreak, or will greed and revenge ruin all three lives?

Excerpt
Iād had a plan. Iād kiss her and work her out of my system.
She smelled of lilacs, fresh and clean. I let my lips graze the graceful column of her neck, kissing my way to her mouth and paused. There would be no going back. I stared at her lips, so soft and generous. Dear God, Iād known in that moment I didnāt have a choice. Iād started this, and was incapable of stopping. Too many fantasies, too many daydreams prevented me from not touching her, tasting her.
Emotions were conflicted and mixed. Stop now repeated over and over, but it didnāt make a difference. Go, go, go won the internal battle, so I went.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Taking Tiffany is a spin-off of Breaking Braydon, this can be read as a stand alone but if you have read Breaking Braydon, you will get a chance to keep up with those characters.
Tiffany and Todd, both have problems trusting others but have fallen hard for each other in a couple of months. No matter how much they try someone is always trying to break them apart. This is written in several different characters POVs, Tiffany's, Todd's, Angela and the mysterious kidnappers. It flows nicely and the story line is well written. The characters all seemed a little too perfect for me but I did enjoy reading their story.
This is a book that has a little bit of everything: suspense, mystery, and maybe a lot of love for spouses, friends and family.
I received an ARC for an honest review.
