The Devil's Masquerade (Royal Pains, #3)

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the third book in the Royal Pain series. It's not a stand alone and I recommend reading the others in the series. However, I did not and I enjoyed this book. It's a historical romance that follows Maggie, Robert and court life in 1685. Nina Mason has done her research on the time period and it really brings the story to life. Maggie is a great mother and wife, she is determined to fight for those she loves. Maggie and Robert make a great pair and their love for each other is strong. Even with not reading the first two books, I felt emotionally involved in them and their love to save their son. There are a few HOT scenes that are really enjoyable. I look forward in reading more and plan to start at the beginning of the series.
