I do enjoy a TL Smith story. My Beautiful Poison fell a little flat for me and honestly Iโ€™m not really sure why just a bunch of tiny things that bothered me throughout. I think TL Smith always writes a strong male lead and as much as I like August he just wasnโ€™t as strong as I am used to with her other books. I did enjoy his loyalty even when he pretended he wasnโ€™t. Rylee is persistent and loves fiercely. I enjoyed the storyline and the writing flows nicely between the two. Knowing itโ€™s a duet, I always prepare for a cliffhanger and thatโ€™s what we get. Iโ€™m not sure what is going to happen but I do hope we donโ€™t have to wait long.
