UNITED INDIE BOOK BLOG REVIEW

RATING: 4 STARS
Teller and Ella are back! And in true form of themselves, we are set full force in drama, love and just utter chaos at times. Surprises are thrown in and the writing between characters and past and present is smooth and flows nicely. Love how the secondary characters are still a big part of the story and important in the characters lives and development. Teller and Ella aren't perfect and I'm hoping for a follow up!

Where do I even start with this review??? First off, if you follow my reviews, you know I LOVE Mary and all of her books and I know she struggled with writing this one -
But... I feel this one fell a little short and I’m having a hard time pinpointing why or where. It just feels like too much of a sugar coated ending for these two to me. The dynamic between Teller and Ella comes full-force in this continuation of the first book and it’s doesn’t fall short on the drama between them either. We also get a sprinkling of what happens between all of the side characters also. Which I love when authors do that. (Hint hint: Give Maby her own story 😉) All in all though, I loved reading this book. If you read book 1, you’re definitely going to want to read this one. Again, fantastic job Mary! Always love reading your books and thank you for this one. ❤️❤️ |
