Praised by Penelope Ward as “a unique story line with multiple layers to it,” Sarah Robinson’s Saving a Legend goes another round with the brooding Kavanagh brothers: MMA fighters who won’t call it quits in the ring, or in romance.
His family’s gym has produced a roster of mixed martial arts legends, but so far Kieran Kavanagh hasn’t followed in their footsteps. After a brawl lands him in jail, Kieran is assigned to work at a center for at-risk youth. Though given a second chance, Kieran’s simply going through the motions—until he meets one very special kid, Shea Doherty, and falls hard for her very beautiful, very grown-up big sister, Fiona. The trouble is, Kieran’s best opening moves are getting him nowhere fast.
Fiona Doherty has too many responsibilities to fool around, especially now that she has custody of Shea. Sure, she’d love to find a devoted partner. But she won’t jeopardize her sister’s happiness—or risk revealing her tortured past—on a love-’em-and-leave-’em type of guy like Kieran . . . so it’s up to him to prove her wrong. As Fiona spends more time with Kieran, she starts to see a softer side of the reckless warrior. Now she must admit that when it comes to the possibility of real love, well . . . there’s a fighting chance.

UNITED INDIE BOOK BLOG REVIEW
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I really love that this book had such a different plotline than your typical MMA/Fighter book. It was an excellent read that I didn’t want to put down but also didn’t want to end! This is the second book in the series however, I read it as a standalone with no problem.
Kieran Kavanagh started an underground fighting ring and was caught when the cops broke it up, he was sentenced to 2 and a half years but is let out after 2 year on good behavior – this is where the book begins. The Kavanagh’s are well known in their town for owning one of the most prominent fighting gyms around. Kieran and his 4 brothers all mess around with fighting, some more serious than the others. Just 2 days after being released he meets Fiona in the flower shop she owns and knows that she’s different then all the woman he had before his prison sentence. Fiona’s mother passed away a few months prior and Fiona has recently been awarded full custody of her autistic sister, Shea. Fiona resists Kieran’s attempts to get her to date him until he’s assigned to work at the community center that Fiona’s best friend runs and Kieran wins over Shea’s heart – which in turn starts to win Fiona over. Then Kieran’s past comes back to haunt him and when he breaks the trust that Fiona didn’t easily give their relationship winds up taking a turn for the worse.
I love the many different aspects of this story and how the author was able to weave it all together into such a fantastic novel. I loved the supporting characters just as much as the main and I seriously want to be a part of the Kavanagh family after reading about how fantastic they are. I do so hope that we get Kane.. and possibly Nora’s?? story next!

I fell head of heels for Kieran, Fiona, and Shea. I can't wait to read your next book in this series. Definitely an one-click buy. Would recommend this book! Keep up the awesome work!!
