Synopsis
Allison O'Malley's plan is to go to grad school so she can get a good job and take care of her schizophrenic mother. She has carefully closed herself off from everything else, including a relationship with Ethan, who she's been in love with for as long as she can remember. What is definitely not part of the plan is the return of her long-lost father, who claims he can bring Allison's mother back from the dark place her mind has gone.
Allison doesn't trust her father, so why would she believe his stories about a long forgotten Irish people, the Tuatha de Danaan? But truths have a way of revealing themselves. Secrets will eventually surface. And Allison must learn to set aside her plan and work with her father if there is even a small chance it could restore her mother's sanity.

What a wonderful 1st novel by a new author. I am of Irish descent and a huge fan of stories of the Tuatha de Danaan and fairies. This is book one of the Danaan trilogy and I was not disappointed. The story was engaging right from the beginning and kept me hooked through the whole book. It was a fast and easy book to read, once I started I did not want to put it down. There were many plot turns and you were never just sure who was the good and who was the bad. Since it is a trilogy the ending was a cliffhanger. Looking forward to book 2.

5 stars!
I don't usually give 5 star reviews but this series has been wonderful and fun to read. Book 2 takes up where book 1 left off and was again unable to put it down once I started. Again there were many twists and turns to the plot and you were never just sure who was the good person and who wasn't. A very talented story teller it will be interesting to see what else this author can come up with. And hopefully she will not wait to long to write volume 3 because we all need to know what happens to Allison and Ethan! |

This is the third book in the trilogy and you really need to read the first two before reading this one. A Place Beyond picks up where Stone of Destiny ended. Things are moving at a much quicker pace now and Aoife kidnaps Allison and compels her to do what she wants or her father, half sister, half sisters boyfriend, and her mother will all pay dearly. When Allison gets home, the devastating news continues. Now Allison, Niamh and the rest are on a mission to stop Aoife at all costs. From Tir na’ Nog to Liam’s yard, battles are being planned out and war is being waged. The need to stop Aoife before she destroys anyone else is paramount. I finished this book with tears in my eyes. The way it all played out is just magical. Much like the Tuatha de Danaan themselves. As with all other HEA’s true love wins out. But, who is lucky enough? This is definitely a series I would recommend to anyone that is a liker of paranormal romance. The writing is great, story line is just amazing. These characters become real in your head. Just the way they should. Thank you Laura Howard for a great story (or rather 3). Now I’m going to have a book hangover. Well worth it though. I truly wish I could give this series more than a 5 star review. It definitely deserves it!!
