- Beck writes steamy romance that’s unapologetic, meaning it makes no apologies for the way it rips you open and makes you crave more. Her heroes are alphas who take what they want, and she pairs them with heroines that bring them to their knees.

The Prey is book 3 in the Oakmont Elite Series and can be read as a stand-alone but I recommend starting with book1. This does end on a cliffhanger and if you have triggers make sure you read them before starting. Elyse finds herself as the maid for Sebastian and without some of her memories. Seb finds himself as the new head of his family and is having a hard time controlling his feelings for Elyse. I wouldn’t call him morally grey he is definitely black and doesn’t care what others think of him. These two are hot together right from the start and they just can’t fight how they feel. Their pasts aren’t staying there and secrets have been revealed and the threat has finally caught up to them. Can’t wait for The Predator and see how crazy Seb really is when it comes to Elyse. I’m sure the world will burn.
