REVIEWER: ANGIE
RATING: 4 STARS
I will start by saying — I did NOT read any of the previous books in this series as the synopsis that I read stated you did not need to do so and that this is a standalone.
Because of this fact, I feel like I was at a disadvantage while reading this book. These characters all seem to have some close-knit backstory that plays into this one.
Aside from this. I like Tony & Carolina’s story. While I feel like it was at times very ping-pongy, it was still easy to follow. Again, the character development most likely happened in previous stories and if this is truly meant to be a stand-alone for these two characters, that should have happened more with them instead of eluding to something that happened in the past with them and others in the story.
All in all, a good book. I will probably go back and read the first two books so I can get a true understanding of this story.
