Laura Rossi is an Italian multigenre writer. Raised in the US and in the UK, where she graduated in Psychology and Criminology, she now resides in Italy with her family.

Devotedly interested in the human mind, Laura likes to scare people saying she goes ‘from sweet to psycho in a matter of seconds’ with her characters. One day she’s writing something sweet and funny, the other she’s crafting dark, flawed characters for edgy, twisted stories.

When she’s not busy working in her family business or being a mom, she loves to travel and attend rock shows. If you see her wondering around town with a wicked smile on her lips, she’s probably thinking of putting you in one of her novels, plotting a new thriller in her head or figuring out which character needs to get the bullet.

Skins grabs readers right from the start. It is dark and emotional. Sebastian and Andrea hit it off right from the start but it isn't their time. Three years later, the sparks are still there but they both have a lot in their past that they have to lay to rest so they can be together. Both are strong characters and have me rooting for them.

Scars is the sequel to Skins and they can be read as standalones, I highly recommend reading in order.  Alejandro is the villain. He has no redeeming qualities and he won't be happy until his dark takes over everything in Andrea's life.

Filomena is book 2.5 in the series, it's a novella giving us a taste of Alejandro's mom. We are introduced to her in Skins and more in Scars and she comes off as cold and uncaring. We get more of her history on why she is this way in Filomena and my heart breaks for her.

​Crux can be read as a standalone but I do recommend reading this series in order because it's a wonderful series and you'll enjoy Crux more. It's a dark and gritty read that is going to pull all sorts of emotions out of the reader. Rameriz takes over as leader after the loss of his brother and he has so many messes to clean up after Alejandro. The Soulless Man is on a mission but he finds so much more than he bargained for. Crux is my favorite book in the series but I enjoyed them all. ​
