SIDNEY CARVER HAD a big problem. She sat at the kitchen table in her underwear and T-shirt early Sunday morning, pondering her situation. It wasn’t like she’d planned on falling in love with her best friend, who also happened to be her roommate and her boss for the last three years. She swirled a waffle finger in the pool of chocolate syrup on her plate, staring absently, as if a solution might magically appear there.
