MY LUCKY #13 by Piper Rayne Blitz
The one adjective used to describe my entire hockey career. I prefer to call it hard work, at least I did until my game went to complete crap. I haven’t scored in eight games and my team owner is talking about trading me.
I’ve never believed in superstitions.
Never needed one. I suppose I was “lucky” in that way. But now the best way to refer to me is desperate. I’d wear the same socks for an entire year just to be the high-scoring center I used to be.
Imagine my surprise when after spending New Year’s Eve with a woman, I score a hat trick in the next game—that’s three goals in one game for you non-hockey lovers.
Now, I have to track her down and bribe her to do it again before every game. Get your mind out of the gutter, I’m not talking about it.
I find her and when I get to know her better, I end up spending more time thinking about her than my game, but she’s made it clear she wants no part of me. She’s going to learn that I didn’t become a professional hockey player without having to fight for what I want.
I love the hockey scenes. Aiden and his teammates give it their all. They have so superstitions. It is funny when Saige throws wine in Aiden's face before the game.
The plot flows so smoothly. I didn't want to put it down.
I like the scene with Tedi and Ford at the bar. I wouldn't want to get on her bad side! Tedi needs her own book.
The bonus scene is awesome. It gives a good finish to this book and a little hint of the next. I look forward to Maxsim's story. I'm sure it will be as good or better than this one.

This was such a fun and sexy book!!! I loved Aiden right off the start and it continued to grow! Saige and him were such a delight in this. I loved the slow burn, the unique superstition they had and the friendship they had! The banter between them was so amazing! This is the kind of book you want to read because you will find yourself smiling all the way thru it. Aiden is incredible on and off the ice. He has a family that loves him and that includes his hockey family and Saige who is always around to cheer him on. Sure like most of out book boyfriends, they make mistakes and have to grovel. Aiden is no different here. These two are great characters that you will fall in love with!! I want to read more of this series!! It was so much fun and romance was super sweet!
