Review by Tara
While we have watched Dan sparkle in the shadows of Faith, Scars of Silk is where we get to see Dan shine.
“This woman isn’t for real. And I’m pretty damn sure she’s not supposed to be mine.”
Struggling through his dad’s death, Dan plummets into the darkest place he’s ever been. Nothing soothes his pain, and when his best friend moves on with her life, Dan only sees one thing...the end. When a chance meet happens, Sienna cannot walk away from the tragedy that is Dan. He reminds her too much of her haunted past. Taking a chance, Sienna enters Dan’s dark world, a world that makes her remember and feels things she has tucked away. Together, they try to battle each other’s demons, but at what cost?
“It’ll hurt like hell, but as his strong, tattooed arms link around me, I know I can’t do anything else. It's just this, and I’ll take any scars it gives me just to have it for one moment more.”
Seriously...Dan...sigh. Anna brings so much to Dan and Sienna’s story. So much depth, and emotion and sexual tension. I read this whole book in a matter of hours...I just could not put it down. With each word Anna writes, your heart will be exploding with hope and crumbling with fear of the unknown. I would recommend reading Anna’s other books in this series first: Tears of Ink, Tears of Glass and Tears of Gold.
“I never expected to see him again. It was meant to be fun; but now he’s here and I can taste him, I know it’s so much more.”
