I have been wanting a good dystopian/fantasy read and I am so glad I picked up Mary Fan's Flynn Nightsider and the Edge of Evil! We have everything in this book demons, monsters, anti-government groups, butt kicking heros and so much more! I honestly don't even know where to begin. This book demanded my full attention from start to finish and now I'm just trying to figure out what to do with my life now. I enjoyed Flynn so much and his journey. I enjoyed all the characters and the world Mary Fan built! I didn't read the Firedragon series but I can tell you that 1. you don't need to and 2. I will be reading it ASAP!

You want to take your time reading this book. I had to put it down. There is so many twist and turns in it. A young boy named Flynn caught in the middle of a war of magic, monsters, evil and good. The United states isn't known as the United States anymore. Everything has changed and its being ruled by powerful sentinels. Life isn't easy for Flynn, I think most of us can understand life not being easy. Flynn is special, he just doesn't know it. He has questions, Like all kids do. Can they be answered? Will he ever know the truth of whats going on, and what has happened? I really enjoyed this book. The author did a great job. Thank you United Indie Book Blog for allowing me to read this book.

Mary Fan lives in New Jersey, where she is currently working in financial marketing. She has also resided in North Carolina, Hong Kong, and Beijing, China. She has been an avid reader for as long as she can remember and especially enjoys the infinite possibilities and out-of-this-world experiences of science fiction and fantasy.
Mary has a B.A. in Music, specializing in composition, from Princeton University and enjoys writing songs as much as writing stories. She also enjoys kickboxing, opera singing, and exploring new things–she’ll try almost anything once.
