This story feels very timely with everything going on in Hollywood. One aspect is how women are treated in show business. It touches on it but doesn't go all the way. This is just one of many topics touched on in this book. It also heavily discusses drug and alcohol addiction. Sophia starts the book in a very bad place. She is troubled and looking for love. My heart broke for her the more you learned about her life and that her friends and mother just seemed to care about fame and appearances. Blake is brought back as her bodyguard at her lowest point and gives her someone who cares. This book started off slow but by the 2nd half it flies by. I could not put it down to see what would happen with Sophia and Blake. I cheered so hard when Sophia started to take control and live the way she dreamed of. This book shows that change and recovery is hard but possible as well that everyone deserves the chance to be happy.
