UNITED INDIE BOOK BLOG REVIEW
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
3.5/4 stars review by Lindsey
Two souls, two destinies both intertwined by fate to either be together or destroy each other. Xandra and her partner Liam better known as Hendrik share more than a working relationship they share a past that has intertwined through their lives . This story has a lot going on there is intrigued, passion, mystery, a little something for everybody.
This book did not catch my attention like I thought it would when I first picked it up. This book was written great, the plot was there, everything that makes a great story was there, but I felt it was lacking something and I just couldn’t put my finger on what it was. It did not draw me in but it was not for a lack of trying I just could not connect to the characters and their situation.
Xandra and Liam both go through situations trying to figure out what is going on in their town and how does it connect to them. Both of them while doing that is trying to figure out what is going on between them and while Liam is trying to get closer to Xandra she continues to push him away.
Like I said earlier this is not a story I connected with but it is not a horrible or bad story I think it just wasn’t what I liked in a book so I could not get into it like the next person this does not mean I would never read another book by J.P. Uvalle .
