I was given this for an honest review.
So I absolutely loved this book! I love the fact that there was references from my favorite movies, such as Dirty Dancing and Top Gun. I also loved the group of friends that Carter and Elly had, I wish I had that. So Elly and Carter met back at college and had a close friendship until he had to move away. For the past 9 yrs, they have been taking care of family, finishing school and building their careers. Carter moves back to town to become a NYU English Professor while Elly has her own practice as a Psychiatrist. They have their chance meet and before you know it, they have revealed their feelings to each other. Elly has issues and holds back some, Carter can’t figure why until she finally tells him why. I love how connected you are with all the characters. It’s like you are really there, doing the same thing they are and experiencing the same pain/ happiness. I love how no matter what happens, Carter stays by her side, showing her how much he loves her. My favorite part had to be the bucket list her friends make her and him telling off his mom, with her apologizing to Elly. This book has so many great parts and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone. Its really a great book! On to the second book!
