So from book 1, we know a little about Kian but not a lot. We know he has been openly gay and has a wine/gay bar in town. He's bubbly and upbeat but deep down, he's been hurt. His highschool sweetheart I guess wasn't ready to come and kinda just used him as a dirty little secret. Yes they were best friends but it was a first love. Ever since he's came out, Kian has been struggling with his feelings. Kian, I loved, cause he is a blast to have around and at the same time, he has a heart. He's willing to show his sensitive side and help out the ones he loves. This is shown in this book perfectly. He wears his heart on his sleeve and feels deep. Enter Archer..While he's openly gay as well, he healing from a tragedy that took his love away and then his sister needed his help. He hasn't had time to grieve or heal from it. He's a fisherman and darn good at it. He's bigger and rougher around the edges then Kian but honestly these two work really well together. Archer's a good guy but has been given the crap hand at life. He was more like a parent then an actual brother to her. She has so issues and has keep most of it hidden from him. The pressure of everything gets to be to much for her. This is when Archer and Kian shine. Yes there's some hateful words said in the heat of the moment but they make up. This book was even better then the first in my opinion and I loved that one a lot! This one has heart,compassion and healing from the past to find love again. I loved every moment of this book including the ugly times. It showed how much they cared about each other, their families and the town. I really hope there's more in this series cause there so many more great characters that need to find love as well. You will laugh,cry and swoon over this book. These two have some great chemistry and find ways to show their love to each other.
