Can I start by saying that Kennedy does an amazing job building a world and characters that pull you in and won't let you go. This is a book that covers over a decade and multiple locations but the heart of the story doesn't change. Lennix and Maxim are brought together by fate and then by determination. Their lives are very different but both character have very strong convictions. I love that Lennix is a strong Native American woman fighting for what she believes. I could not put this book down and admit I was cheering for the couple. Their chemistry and banter is off the charts. I cant wait until I get my hands on part 2 to find out the rest of their journey.
