This book is fantastic! This story sucked me in and had me so invested I found myself legit mad at Tremor for not fighting, what I deemed, hard enough for Neala! I love a story that can suck me in and take me away from the real world like this one did.
Tremor is a prospect who has been working his a$$ off to earn his patch while also trying to stay away from the woman he really wants – Neala. Neala is not only the president’s sister, she also has another brother who is a patched members. Getting involved with her could be very bad for him and Tremor isn’t willing to chance not being able to at least see her from a distance… so he lets her believe he’s “seeing” Chloe… who is actually his cousin who is very sick. On the flip side, you have Neala, who just wants Tremor in her life, she knows they’d be perfect for one another but she thinks he doesn’t want her more than his patch. Plus – she’s super salty he’s “sleeping with” Chloe.
Neala’s a level of sassy I can only dream of LOL. She doesn’t take crap from anyone, especially not her brothers, and when one of the older patch members thinks she’s up for grabs she begins lessons to learn to defend herself. Neala made an excellent heroine for this story, I absolutely loved her character and she was definitely perfect for Tremor. Tremor is protective, loyal and pretty much the sweetest while also being alpha. I loved this storyline, the characters and the writing style – I’m looking forward to delving more into this series.
