Bennett and Cassie are at it again, this time looking the ultimate challenge in the eye and deciding, after everything they’ve been through, why not?
AFTER ALL THIS TIME
Some people are meant to be together, even if they find each other through tragedy. When Bennett Saville’s brother jumped off a bridge and landed on Cassandra Wallace’s car, their lives become intertwined in a way they never wanted to unravel. But so much has happened, and most of it would have been soul destroying if they hadn’t had each other. And now, after all these years, they are ready to take the final step to declare their love, but Bennett’s star is rising fast, and being a famous actor with a hit movie might undo all the trust they have built their love on.
ALWAYS
Cassie isn’t the jealous, insecure type, but things have changed, and so has Bennett. Coming into his prime as a man and as a highly regarded actor, Cassie, ten years older than her lover, begins to worry that their foundation is shaky, and that she can’t compete with the jiggly twenty year-olds who throw themselves in Bennett’s path. What she can’t see is herself through Bennett’s eyes. If she could, she would know always and forever is all he ever wanted with his Cass.

EXCERPT
Twenty minutes later they lay together on the couch, shrouded in a soft duvet. The TV flickered as Bennett channel surfed.

His phone rang from the bedroom and he frowned at the interruption. “I’m guessing it’s John. I’d better take it.” He went into the lounge, leaving Cassie snuggled under the duvet.

Bennett plonked down in an easy chair and stared at the London lights twinkling outside the window. “How are you, mate?”

John’s American twang echoed down the phone. “Good, Bennett, my boy, good. I hope you had a good trip to Disneyland and rested. You’re gonna need it.”

Bennett groaned. “What the hell have you got up your sleeve?”

“Confirmed dates for the US promotional tour. You’ll be flying out to New York on the thirteenth, then you’ll get back in the UK about the sixth or seventh December. I spoke to Pete—you’ll start filming Gabriel the week after you get back.”

Pete was the producer responsible for Bennett’s current TV series, Gabriel, about a professor imbued with magical powers.

“Christ.” Bennett paced edgily around the room. “You don’t leave much time in between, do you? Have you and Pete got some sort of death wish for me?”

John laughed. “Naw, we know you can do it. And in consideration of your schedule, we shortened this promo tour. They can last up to three months. Oh hey, listen, I have another call coming in. I’ll ping you the final dates and venues via email later. Gotta go.”

The phone went dead. Bennett stared at it thoughtfully then went back to the bedroom.

Cassie sat up, eyes blinking away sleep “What did he want? Everything okay?”

Bennett sighed as he climbed onto the couch. “He called to tell me I’m going to the US for a month for the Lost Horizon promotional tour.”

Cassie’s face fell. “Jeez, a month without you? What am I going to do?”

He saw her crestfallen look and smiled. “If there’s a break, you need to fly out and stay with me. I’m sure we can plan to get you over for a while. Believe me, if there’s a chance I’ll take it, I promise. A month without you will be hard to bear.” He leered at her. “Seeing as how that’s also a helluva long time to go without sex, we’ll have to get more experimental with our sexting techniques.”
