S. R. Grey is a new to me author which meant I wasn’t familiar with her writing or her characters. So I have to admit when I first met Will I wasn’t a fan. His immaturity was a huge turn off for me. However, with the introduction of Lilly I was pleasantly surprised with his transition. Although his immaturity does make multiple appearances (because let’s face it he is young) he recovers nicely each time.
I enjoyed this read. I have a hard time not liking stories with kids involved, especially when they bring out the best in the characters. I loved the dynamics of this story. Will going to his brother, Chase, for help and direction. The comfortable relationships that ensue all combine to make this an overall easy, enjoyable read. I felt the pace of this book was fast which was good and bad. Some parts in the story were great at the fast pace and others I would have like to have seen elaborated. But at the end of the day Will, Emma and Lilly’s story was worth the read.
