UNITED INDIE BOOK BLOG REVIEW

StalemateStalemate by Rose Sawyer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Stalemate is a book that is full of surprises and some very steamy bedroom scenes. Elle is hard to grasp, she is a character that has many secrets and I'm not sure we really know all of them yet. Alex also has his secrets but he is so much more forth coming and open about it all. The storyline focuses a lot on their relationship and boy is it HOT! But you have the back story of why they even have a relationship to start with and Alex's family is still a mystery to me. So there is more going on than them just falling in love and living happily ever after. This is NOT the book for you if that's what you are looking for. The ending kind of has me all ugh and I need more!

Overall, the story was well written, a little dark at times but it all flowed nicely. It was unique and a different type of read for me. The characters are complex and relatable in ways. I enjoyed entering into their world and look forward to find out what happens.
